Astars Cassava Bioenergy will produce Biogas from the waste coming from the processing plant and will make the project energy self-sufficient. Any excess energy will be distributed through the National Energy grid and sold to the ZETDC through a Powe Purchase Agreement. The added energy project will contribute towards rural develop, import substitution, renewal energy production and reduction in carbon emissions.
